PUTU MAYANG CAKE

Ingredients

Ingredients I :
  • 100 grams Rice Flour
  • 25 grams Tapioca Flour
  • 1 grams Salt
  • 150 ml Coconut Milk (Medium Thickness)
  • Food coloring to taste

Ingredients (Gravy) :

  • 100 grams Brown Sugar
  • 50 grams Granulated sugar
  • 1 grams Salt
  • 500 ml Thin Coconut Milk
  • Sufficient Pandan Leaves

Equipment:
  • Scales
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Whisk
  • Square Baking Pan
  • Filter
  • Steamer
  • Stove

The Steps

  1. Mix rice flour, salt and coconut milk.
  2. Simmer until the mixture thickens.
  3. Turn off the stove, add tapioca flour and knead until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough, and add food coloring to taste
  5. Print according to taste, and steam for 25 minutes over medium low heat (the steamer is already heated).
  6. For the sauce, mix all Ingredients II and bring to a boil.

Notes:
  1. Make sure the steamer is really hot, and cover the steamer with a cloth
  2. Make sure the cake is completely cool before removing it
